What FA Means
Bertazzoni's P365IME manual lists FA among the codes it calls keyboard or key errors, and the instruction printed against that whole group is to make sure nothing is lying over the commands, then to remove and restore power. Bertazzoni does not publish a separate definition for the individual letter, so treat FA as the control reporting that the touch keyboard is not reading properly rather than as a named broken part.
Common Causes of FA
- A pan, lid or tea towel sitting across the touch strip
- Water, oil or a cleaning product bridging two keys
- A touch panel or its cable no longer reading reliably
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Lift everything off the glass, including the pan nearest the controls, and dry the touch strip with a cloth. Then take the power off at the breaker for a minute and restore it - that exact sequence is the published remedy for this group of codes.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- If the code returns on a clean, dry, clear panel, the next step is inside the electronics bay under the glass, so the cooktop has to come off its supply at the breaker before anything is opened.
- Scouring at an unresponsive touch area to make it work damages the printed surface under the glass and leaves you needing the panel anyway.
- Mistaking a keyboard problem for a dead cooking zone is a common way to buy an induction coil that was working perfectly.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
