What FL Means
FL is listed with the keyboard and key errors on page 17 of the P365IME manual. Bertazzoni gives the group one shared instruction - clear the commands, then remove and restore the power - and does not publish what the individual letter stands for, so the safe reading is a touch-control problem that has shut the heating elements down.
Common Causes of FL
- A cloth, chopping board or pan overhanging the touch strip
- Moisture held in a chip or crack in the glass above a key
- An ageing membrane or control board no longer reading the keys
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Check the panel for anything resting on it, wipe it dry, and look at the glass over the control strip in good light for a chip or hairline crack, since damage there can hold moisture against a key. Then power down at the breaker for a minute and restore.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- A cracked induction top should not be used at all - take the supply off at the breaker and leave it off until the glass is replaced, because water reaching the coils below is a genuine shock risk.
- Running a blade or scraper over a suspect crack to clean it out usually spreads it, and the glass on these cooktops is a single-piece part.
- Swapping the control board first when the glass and keyboard are the real problem is the usual expensive detour on this platform.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
