What Closed Padlock Icon Means
Bertazzoni's touch-display refrigeration shows a padlock beside the temperature settings. An open yellow padlock means you can scroll and set the temperature; a closed one means a function such as Vacation or Shopping FlexMode is running and has taken control of the set points until it finishes or is canceled.
Common Causes of Closed Padlock Icon
- Vacation, Shopping or a similar timed function left running
- A function programmed to start later and now active without anyone noticing
- A function reactivated automatically after the appliance was switched back on
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Open the Functions menu and look for whichever mode is active, then either let it run its course or switch it off - the padlock opens again on its own once no function is holding the settings.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- There is no problem behind the padlock, so a service call booked against it is a wasted visit that only confirms the display is behaving correctly.
- If no function shows as active and the padlock stays closed, that is a display or control question, and it is diagnosed with the appliance off its supply rather than by pressing harder.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
