Bertazzoni's own induction hob manual states F3E indicates a "coil temperature sensor failure" — the sensor monitoring heat at the induction coil beneath the glass isn't reporting a reading the control board can trust.
Common Causes of F3E
- A failed or drifting coil temperature sensor

There isn't a safe DIY check for this one — Bertazzoni's own manual lists the remedy as replacing the coil sensor, which means opening the electronics bay beneath the glass on a de-energized unit, a technician task.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The coil sensor sits directly beneath the glass next to the high-current induction coil, and testing it without cutting power first is a real shock risk.
- This can be confused with the separate F4E mainboard-sensor code, and replacing the wrong, similarly priced part is a common mistake.
- A sensor reinstalled even slightly out of position can continue misreading coil temperature even after the part is replaced.
- Without an accurate coil-temperature reading, the zone's overheat protection can't function reliably, so running the cooktop while this fault is active isn't worth the risk.
