What FC Means
FC is one of the codes grouped under keyboard and key errors on page 17 of the P365IME manual - and it is worth noting that it is not the same entry as the lower-case Fc, which the same page treats as a cool-down request. Bertazzoni publishes a shared remedy for the group rather than a definition for FC on its own.
Common Causes of FC
- Debris or liquid sitting over the touch commands
- A key contact that has stopped registering cleanly
- A problem on the link between the keyboard and the control board
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Read the display carefully first and confirm the second character is an upper-case C, because the cool-down code Fc looks almost identical and has a completely different answer. For FC, clear and dry the touch strip, then power the cooktop down at the breaker for a minute before restoring it.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- With the panel clean and a power cycle already tried, the remaining checks happen under the glass, so isolate the appliance at the breaker before anything comes apart.
- It is easy to read FC as Fc on a scratched display and spend an evening waiting for a cooktop to cool that was never hot, which is the most common wasted step on this platform.
- Buying a control board on the strength of a keyboard code is a frequent and expensive miss, since the same code group can be raised by the panel alone.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
