What FJ Means
The P365IME manual puts FJ in its keyboard and key error group on page 17, alongside FA, FC, FL, FU and Fb. All that Bertazzoni states for the group is the remedy, so FJ is best read as the control refusing to run because the touch keyboard is not giving it a trustworthy answer.
Common Causes of FJ
- Liquid trapped along the edge of the glass beside the control strip
- An object bridging the keys while the hob was switched on
- A failing touch panel or its connection to the control board
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Take everything off the glass and dry the control area thoroughly, paying attention to the narrow gap where the glass meets the frame, since liquid trapped there keeps a key wet long after the surface looks dry. Then cut the power at the breaker for a minute and restore it.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Cut the circuit before lifting or unsealing the glass, because the touch panel sits immediately above the induction coils and their supply wiring.
- Lifting a bonded glass top to dry underneath it is how the seal gets broken, and a broken seal lets the next spill straight into the electronics.
- Replacing a coil or a zone because the cooktop refuses to heat overlooks the fact that this code group stops every zone by design.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
