Bertazzoni Range

Bertazzoni PRO304BFGMXT

Model # PRO304BFGMXT

Bertazzoni range repair

The PRO304BFGMXT is the all-gas 30-inch Professional range, and the distinction that matters in the workshop is that both its bake and broil heat come from gas burners — the infrared broiler at the top of the cavity is a burner with its own igniter, not an electric element. A broiler that will not come on is therefore a gas-side problem on this model, where the same complaint on the dual-fuel PRO304BFEPXT would be an element. Its brass MonoBloc burner caps are also heavier than the aluminum caps on the 24-inch models and will sit proud if reassembled a fraction out of true, which shows up immediately as a lopsided flame.

FAQ

Bertazzoni PRO304BFGMXT FAQ

On this all-gas model, yes. The infrared broiler is a gas burner with its own igniter and safety valve, entirely independent of the bake burner underneath the cavity floor.

Before anyone works near a burner, cap or igniter, the gas supply to the range should be shut off at the valve. Once that is done, a cap sitting even slightly out of its recess is the usual cause and it is normally corrected by reseating rather than replacing anything.
