Common Causes of F3
- A stuck-open water inlet valve
- A failed water-level or pressure sensor that isn't signaling "full" to the control board
- A control board problem failing to close the inlet valve on command
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Close the water shutoff valve behind the dishwasher immediately — Bertazzoni's own manual instructs exactly this before contacting service, since this problem means the machine currently isn't stopping its own water intake.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- This code exists because water is actively continuing to enter the tub — leaving the supply valve open while you investigate risks an overflow onto your kitchen floor.
- A stuck inlet valve can be under line pressure, and disconnecting it without shutting off the supply first can spray water into the machine's electronics.
- Forcing a valve that won't close can damage the valve body, turning a repairable problem into a full valve replacement.
